About Annelisa

Annelisa Pedersen is a Certified Essential Somatics® Movement Teacher who is passionate about helping her students find lasting freedom from pain and chronic tension.

As a classically-trained musician who has struggled with pain and discomfort caused by scoliosis, Annelisa has been on a journey to heal herself and help others.

In other movement modalities, Annelisa has completed 250-hour Ashtanga yoga teacher training through Downward Dog Yoga Centre in Toronto..

Through her regular somatic movement practice, Annelisa has found freedom from pain and the ability to move and feel better.

Annelisa is an avid paddler, both kayak and surfski. She loves the somatic nature of being in the water. Her two favourites are kayak rolling practice and swimming. On land, she enjoys walking, hiking and biking.

In the 9 to 5, Annelisa has found that her somatic movement practice has been central to her good health and well-being at work. Annelisa has taught classes in the workplace, helping thousands of others find increased well-being in their lives.

As a leader and manager, Annelisa is curious about how greater somatic awareness can help us lead better and foster workplaces that work better for the people who work in them.
